The purpose of Treatment Intensive is to provide the opportunity to work in a concentrated manner with a client and family to maximize potential change over a short period of time.

An Intensive Treatment is customized to the individual client, and usually occurs over a 1-2 week period. A client can be seen 3-5 days/week, 1-2 hours per day. (NOTE: Some insurance companies will not reimburse more than 1 hour of therapy per day or week.)

Upon request, specialized treatment modalities can be incorporated such as:

The Listening Program, The Kaufman Approach to Apraxia, or Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Stimulation and Facial Muscle Exercise Program.

Home and classroom programming recommendations and parent support are provided throughout the Treatment Intensive. For current clients an extended note will be written for the final treatment session of the intensive program. For clients coming to Cincinnati Speech Services solely for an intensive treatment program, a written treatment summary will be provided.
